The Story
On the 12th November 2013 New York City became the first city in the world to receive Happy Street Signs. 200 Happy Street Signs were installed, each one was numbered 1-200 with an authentic hologram on the reverse. Over 50 volunteers took part in the installation because they wanted to give smiles and happiness back to the City they love. Photos by @TheDustyRebel @SohoGrandHotel @dugger
Happy Street Signs
On November 12th 2013, New York City became the first of many cities to be installed with Happy Street Signs. The objective of the “Happy Street Sign” project is to generate moments of joy for people and contribute to a measurable increase in community connectivity and happiness.

NYC
I moved to NYC in January 2013 and I walked for miles every day, extremely happy to be here looking up. I fell in love with the City, the people and the street signs which collectively triggered a new phase of creativity for me. I started painting large canvases of street signs and it is these paintings that inspired the installation of Happy Street Signs.
